Local tips to enjoy Andalusia.
Here are some tips of my personal tips to help you make the most of your stay in Cómpeta and discover the Andalusian life.
Take your time – Life is here a slower rhythm.
Visit the local shops and markets – Some of the best local produce can be found in small shops and traditional markets.
Eat like a local – Don’t be afraid to eat a little later than you might at home.
Explore the villages – Cómpeta is wonderful starting point for discovering the white villages of the Axarquia.
Learn a few Spanish words – Even a simple hola, gracias or buenos dias can make the difference.
Enjoy the evening – When the heat of the day fades, the villages come alive again.
And my best advice – Don’t try to see everything. Leave some time to simply sit back and enjoy
We choose Andalusia as the place we wanted to call home, and we have never regretted it.
Through my travels and my journey learning the language, I have gaind valuable knowledge of Andalusian culture and sometime complex administrative procedures.
